After a successful stint in the 2017 Southeast Asian Games, Gilas has another challenge on the horizon.
Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas will participate in the upcoming FIBA Asia Champions Cup in Chenzou, China from September 22 to 30, Gilas coach Chot Reyes announced on Twitter on Tuesday.

According to a source, the group will be led by Gilas cadets Kiefer Ravena, Ray Parks Jr. and Christian Standhardinger. Slated to join the trio will be Raymar Jose and Kobe Paras, pending school clearance. But there is still no official word which other Gilas pool members will be included in the lineup.
Also trying out for the squad will be PBA D-League standout Jeron Teng and former UP star Jett Manuel.
The source also said Reyes will coach the team with Jong Uichico as his assistant.
In a report on FIBA.com, Andray Blatche, who has played with Gilas numerous times before, will suit up for the Chinese squad in the tournament.
The FIBA Asia Champions Cup is an international basketball club competition hosted by FIBA.
Ten participating teams will be divided into two groups (A and B) where each team will play all the other teams within its group in the preliminary round. The top four teams in both groups will qualify for the quarterfinals.
In the 2016 edition of the tournament, China won the gold medal, while Lebanon and Iran finished second and third, respectively.
The games of the FIBA Asia Champions Cup will be shown on TV5 and sports5.ph.
