Adamson University outlasted De La Salle University in overtime, 86-84, in the UAAP Season 85 Men’s Basketball Tournament, Saturday at Ynares Sports Center here.
With La Salle leading 79-76 with six seconds left in regulation, Lenda Douanga unleashed a three that forced overtime in 79-79.
Come the extended period, Vince Magbuhos sunk a three in the 1:52 mark period to give the Soaring Falcons an 86-84 edge, which the Green Archers ultimately failed to overturn.
The result means that Adamson and La Salle end the first round with identical 3-4 records in with the former in fifth place and the latter in sixth place.
