The Adamson University Lady Falcons vented their frustration on a hapless San Sebastian College Lady Stags squad, 25-10, 25-14, 25-18, in the 2022 Shakey’s Super League on Sunday (Oct. 2) at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.
Trisha Tubu was hailed as the MVP of the match with seven points, on four attacks, two service aces, and a block, as the Lady Falcons notched their first win in Pool B.
Adamson capitalized on its height advantage and power to easily demolish the Lady Stags and rebound from a five-set loss at the hands of the University of Sto. Tomas Golden Tigresses last week.
SSC-R dropped its second straight match in as many games following another straight sets loss also to the Golden Tigresses on Saturday (Oct. 1).
Mapua University Lady Cardinals, meanwhile, prevailed in a five-set thriller over San Beda University Lady Red Spikers, 23-25, 35-33, 25-22, 21-25, 16-14.
Alyanna Ong top-scored for Mapua with 15 points, on nine attacks, five blocks, and a service ace.
Arellano University Lady Chiefs also got its first win in two games after beating the Jose Rizal University Lady Bombers, 25-21, 25-21, 25-17. Laika Tudlasan was hailed as the MVP of the game with five attacks and a service ace.
