Chery Tiggo booted out Choco Mucho and bolstered its semifinals bid with a 25-21, 25-19, 25-19 win on Thursday, March 9, in the 2023 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

Mylene Paat dropped 25 points on 22 attacks, two aces, one block laced with eight digs to lead the Crossovers, who snapped a three-game slide and improved to fourth best record with 4 wins, 3 losses and 13 points.

Cza Carandang pumped in 12 points including the block kill that clinched the second set for Chery Tiggo.

Heading into the match, Choco Mucho needed to win via a sweep or four sets to keep its semis bid alive. With the setback, the Flying Titans are no longer in contention for a semifinals berth. The best possible record the Flying Titans can get is 3-5 with nine points and that would not be enough to advance.

Still vying for the last two semis berths are F2 Logistics (5-2, 13 points), Chery Tiggo (4-3, 13 points) and PLDT (4-2, 12 points).

Creamline and Petro Gazz have already claimed the first two Final Four spots.

"I just wanna keep on thanking the Lord for always guiding us, everybody is healthy. Secondly, I just want to congratulate the ladies, they poured their hearts out. They trusted one another and stuck by each other," said Chery Tiggo head coach Aaron Velez.

Pauline Gaston played her best game for the Crossovers with 12 points, 19 excellent digs, and 14 excellent receptions, having a big hand in booting out her former team from semis contention.

Kat Tolentino logged 16 points to pace Choco Mucho as Isa Molde and Des Cheng chipped in eight points and nine receptions each.
