The Farm Fresh Foxies is the latest team to join the PVL. The announcement comes a few days after the Foton Tornadoes, a former Philippine Superliga team, declared their return to the volleyball scene.
Headlining the Foxies is NCAA Season 97 MVP Mycah Go, who led the Benilde Lady Blazers to the championship in the same year. The Blazers did defend their title in this year’s Season 98, while Go was nursing her ACL injury from the sidelines.
For the open hitter, being a part of Farm Fresh means a lot.
"I'm still in the process of recovering pero it shows na Farm Fresh really wants me and my teammates kasi they are still taking me in,” Go said in a statement released to One Sports.
“That's what I appreciate about them. Hindi ako minamadali. And malaki ang tiwala nila na makakabalik ako,” the Lady Blazer said further.
Go, who is now four months into her road to recovery, is eager to make her presence felt in the squad as early as now.
“For now, I help around sa tasks outside playing but paunti-unti din, sumasali na ako sa training,” she said.
Farm Fresh has yet to make an official announcement about the other members of the squad.
The Foxies will join the pro league in the upcoming PVL Invitational Conference this June.
