The Utah Jazz star guard is expected to be the main consideration for Gilas Pilipinas' naturalized player spot.
The clock is ticking for Gilas Pilipinas in its preparation for the FIBA World Cup, and the basketball-crazy fans of the Philippines are anxiously waiting for Utah Jazz star guard Jordan Clarkson to join the build-up soon.
Coach Chot Reyes repeatedly said that there are no shoo-ins for the national team, but the 2021 NBA Sixth Man of the Year is expected to be the main consideration for the lone naturalized player spot.
There's no update though when JC will join the Gilas camp ahead of the FIBA World Cup in August. It's more than likely that he'll miss the European training camp that will start in Estonia.
Clarkson though was spotted donning the national team uniform.
In an Instagram post by his father Mike Clarkson, the 31-year-old guard was seen wearing the Gilas threads.
This was however for a commercial shoot done at the gymnasium of the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas.
"Lights, [camera], action! How cool to watch the filming of a commercial," the older Clarkson said.
It's always good to see Jordan representing the Philippines, but he also needs to practice with his Gilas peers soon as the FIBA World Cup looms.
