Defending champion De La Salle University will try to extend its winning streak to five matches when the Lady Spikers play Far Eastern University in the UAAP Season 86 women's volleyball tournament on Saturday.
First serve is scheduled at 4:00 p.m. at the Araneta Coliseum.
The Lady Spikers finished the first round in second place with a 6-1 win-loss record. They are seeking a repeat of their 25-20, 25-17, 25-22 sweep of the Lady Tamaraws in their previous meeting.
La Salle is trying to stay within striking distance of league-leading University of Santo Tomas, which has a perfect 8-0 record, and also fend off National University (6-2). The Tigresses and the Lady Bulldogs cross paths at the Big Dome on Sunday before the league takes a Lenten break.
