NATIONAL University will embark on an international tour of duty as the Philippines' representative in the week-long 2024 VTV Cup from Aug. 24 to 31 in Ninh Binh, Vietnam.
The Lady Bulldogs were tapped as last-minute replacements for the Indonesian team that withdrew from the tournament, making the reigning UAAP women's volleyball champions the lone collegiate team in the eight-team field.
NU pulled out of the 2024 V.League ahead of expected overseas preparations for its forthcoming UAAP title defense, with their Vietnam trip now the first stop of their offseason overseas camp.

It was PVL club Choco Mucho which last donned the Philippine colors in the Vietnam competition in 2023, where it took home the bronze medal and a pair of individual accolades for Sisi Rondina (best outside spiker) and team captain Maddie Madayag (best middle blocker).
Set to boost the Lady Bulldogs' campaign are the Alastrio Bella Belen, Alyssa Solomon and Arah Panique, who'll also be coming off back-to-back bronze medal hauls of their own in the 2024 SEA V.League in Vietnam and Thailand.
The NU trio will be up against familiar foes in Pool A alongside Vietnam star duo Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen and Tranh Thi Tanh Thuy-led national team, Kazakhstan's Kuaynsh VC and Korea's Expressway Hipass.
In Pool B are Taiwanese club and former PVL finalist King Whale Taipei, Japan's Aranmare Yamagata, China's Henan Shuanghui and Russia's Korabelka.
