Manny Pacquiao is ranked No. 1 in WBC

FILIPINO boxing legend Manny Pacquaio proved that age is just a number when someone has the right attitude on self-discipline and training.

At 46 years old, the 8-division world champion is the No.1 ranked in the 147-pound division in the latest ranking released by the World Boxing Council (WBC) this August.

Pacquiao’s inclusion in the top ranking of the division came after his remarkable performance against 30-year-old champion Mario Barrios last month in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Pacquiao-Barrios bout ended in a majority draw despite being a huge underdog. Although many believed Pacquiao should have won the fight.

Pacquiao holds a record of 62 wins, 8 losses, and 2 draws, with 39 knockouts.

Netizens and Filipino boxing fans warmly welcomed Pacquiao’s WBC ranking. One netizen said keeping up with younger fighters at Pacquaio’s age is already remarkable.

Meanwhile, some netizens asked where Pacquiao’s rival Floyd Mayweather Jr. is now.

Pacquiao and Mayweather fought in May 2015, setting records for the highest pay-per-view buys, pay-per-view revenue, live gate earnings and more.
