Aduke Ogunsanya parted ways with Choco Mucho Flying Titans

Leading the early exits are Aduke Ogunsanya, who is set to conclude her three-year stint with the Flying Titans, and Bia General after just over a year.

Ogunsanya, 29, turned professional with Choco Mucho in 2022 after deciding to step away from the UAAP, where the pandemic wiped out what would have been the core years of her collegiate career.

A proven champion with both La Salle and F2 Logistics, her experience and championship pedigree were viewed as valuable assets for a Flying Titans squad that featured several former Ateneo standouts.

Unfortunately, Ogunsanya’s PVL tenure has been largely derailed by injuries.

She suffered a torn ACL in her left knee during the 2022 Invitational Conference, an injury that sidelined her for an extended period.

Just as she was working her way back, misfortune struck again when she sustained another ACL injury, this time to her right knee, during the 2024 All-Filipino Conference.

General, a 30-year-old libero, meantime, was acquired at the start of the 2024 season from Cignal.

She was tapped as the immediate replacement for Creamline-bound Denden Lazaro-Revilla and would backstop four-time best libero Thang Ponce.

Those departures mark the beginning of what appears to be a timely roster reset for Choco Mucho.

The Flying Titans have struggled for consistency in recent seasons, missing the playoffs in three of the last four conferences.

Those campaigns included two franchise-worst ninth-place finishes and a slide to 10th in the 2025 PVL on Tour, prompting a reassessment of the team’s direction moving forward.
