How to watch historic WTA 125 Philippine Open


The Philippines will host a WTA 125 event for the first time this January with the staging of the Philippine Women’s Open.


The tournament will bring some of the world’s top tennis players to Manila for the prestigious WTA 125 event.


Here are the key details you need to know about the Philippine Women’s Open.


Schedule: January 26 to 31, 2026

Venue: Rizal Memorial Tennis Center

The tournament will feature a 32-player singles draw. Players announced include:

Filipino tennis players Alex Eala and Tenielle Madis were also awarded wild card slots.


However, the participation of Eala and several other players, including Birrell, Erjavec, Jeanjean, Kudermetova, Maria, Osorio, Putintseva, Sakatsume, Semenistaja, Sierra, Starodubtseva, Sun, Tararudee, Uchijima, Vekic, Waltert, Wang, and Yuan, will depend on their respective runs at the Australian Open, which is scheduled from January 18 to 31.


Ticket Prices

Fans can secure tickets and tournament passes through SM Tickets outlets in SM malls, online purchases, and on-site venue sales.

Ticket prices range from ₱200 for qualifying matches from January 24 to 25, ₱1,000 for free-seating tickets in the main draw Round of 32, and ₱1,500 for reserved or numbered seating in the semifinals and finals.


What is a WTA 125 tournament?


According to the WTA website, the WTA 125 series, which includes tournaments such as the Guadalajara 125, Jingshan Tennis Open, and the Suzhou WTA 125, "offers both established WTA players and talented newcomers the opportunity to build their careers and progress to the highest levels of the WTA Tour.”


Filipina tennis ace Alex Eala won her first WTA 125 title in Guadalajara last year.
