WATCH Creamline beats Nxled to extend unbeaten run to eight games

CREAMLINE extended its league-best unbeaten streak to eight wins, 25-23, 25-16, 25-21, at the expense of newcomer Nxled in the 2023 PVL All-Filipino Conference at the PhilSports Arena on Thrusday.

Jema Galanza's standout display of 14 points on nine attacks, one block, and four aces (two straight for the win) kept the Cool Smashers' pristine record intact.

"Kahit may mga pagkukulang, naipakita pa rin kung gaano ka-solid ‘yung team. Talagang tyinaga namin lahat mula first set kasi du’n talaga kami nasubok kasi marami pang games na ganun ‘yung mangyayari," said Galanza.
"We’re very happy and grateful for the win talaga kasi lahat ng teams are still aiming for a spot in the semifinals. A win is a win for us today.

"It’s just that marami ring lapses and we have to work harder for our next few games,” captain Alyssa Valdez added, who pitched in seven points for the Cool Smashers.

Trailing for nearly the entirety of Set 1, Galanza & Co. breezed past a seemingly assertive Chameleons side with a 9-2 set-clinching run, which they replicated in the final set through a five-point game-ending run for win number eight in as many games.

A win for its sister club Choco Mucho later in the day over PLDT will hand Creamline a ticket to the Final Four, while also-ran Nxled sank to its sixth defeat of the conference.
