The Choco Mucho Flying Titans, who finished seventh five times and fourth twice in the last seven PVL conferences made a successful run in the previous season after making its first finals appearance in the league.
But for Choco Mucho's setter Deanna Wong, the team will "start from scratch"
"We will not stick to our last conference's silver finish. We will start from scratch and will keep training to reach a higher goal next season," Wong said in an interview on PVL's Media Day.
The Flying Titans settled for silver in their championship match against their sister team Creamline Cool Smashers in the PVL 2023 2nd All-Filipino Conference.
Wong said that their finals appearance in the previous season helped the team to know their strengths and asses the things that they should improve.
"We learned from the finals. It served as a learning curve for us, on what areas we should improve. Our trainings are still the same, but there are things that we still have to work on," she added.
With Choco Mucho losing its two key players, libero Denden Lazaro-Reviilla, and middle blocker Bea De Leon, who both transferred to their sister team Creamline Cool Smashers, the Flying Titans are helping their new members to adapt to coach Dante Alinsunurin's system.
Choco Mucho signed Bia General, Royse Tubino, Mean Mendrez, and Mars Alba.
Despite Choco Mucho's silver finish in the PVL 2023 2nd All-Filipino Conference, Deanna Wong says the team is still in pursuit of greater heights this upcoming PVL season. Wong, Jem Ferrer, and former F2 member Mars Alba are the setters in rotation for Choco Mucho. The team attended PVL's Media day at the TV 5 Center on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024. #PVLMediaDay
